We had a baby!

Hey remember that time that I was only 129k in debt? Well, we had a baby...and they are not cheap. Also, our debt took a backseat to the focus we have been placing (and rightfully so) on our little man.

Here is where I left off with my debt list:

Radiology    0/50
Fines          0/100
Old cable bill  200/200
Hospital    254/339
CC1            0/300
CC2              754/800
CC3             2250/2250
CC4               3000/ 3000
School (mine) 5245/6000
School (hub)      8,580  /17400
Van                    12,500/21,000
House               97,000/99,000

And while we have knocked quite a bit of this out, we still added debt. So our list now looks likes this:

Radiology    0/50
Fines          0/100
Old cable bill  0/200
Hospital    0/339
CC1            0/300
CC2              200/950
Stormont   514.57/514.57
St. Fran    1725.81/1882.71
CC3             2250/2250
CC4               2900/ 3000
School (mine) 11,100/11,100
School (hub)      8,380  /17400
Van                    11,735/21,000
House               97,150/99,000

For a total of 134,668.73. Bummer. Still plugging away though.

I have not had a paycheck since march, so it's totally a God thing that all of our bills have been paid and we are still able to make payments on our debt. Also, I received a letter last week from the IRS. My heart sank. In 2013, I did not file correctly, and so I owed 1300.00. I paid it immediately, and I am so thankful that I could (no paycheck from me remember ;) ), but we didn't get to pay as much on the debt.

This also, though, shows me that I do need my paycheck to survive month-to-month, and am clearly still wasting a lot of it. More of that check will go to my debt.

I am going to break away from good old Dave just a bit and go after Mohela. That makes up 2100 of my school loan, and the remainder is with sallie mae (now Navient). It makes me feel sick to have that debt.

Originally, my student loans were part of a teacher forgiveness program, but when my school no longer qualified for that program, I became responsible for them again. Double bummer. This is another reason why my numbers jumped up suddenly.

Onward and upward!
